Laura and I visited Grandma on November 23, 2001. She was amazing -- awake and aware from11am until 5pm, with only a one-hour nap in between. Not bad for someone 103.5 years old.

I think the first main event was Laura's 30th birthday, only 4 weeks after she and I started dating. Remember the night at Boulevard's? There's also a photo here from Laura's 31st birthday.
For a real party, you have to go to the Castro on Halloween. Carla, Mark, Laura and I did it in '97. Mark was pretty saaaxy in his mini-skirt!
Soon after Halloween, my Mom came out for a visit, and the parents met each other. OK, I admit, it was a little scary. But we had a good time!
Over Christmas 1997, we hung out together in Sea Ranch. Of all the pictures I've ever taken of the Wise sisters, these are my favorites.
Carla, Mark, Laura and I went to Lake Tahoe for a few days of spring skiing in 1998. That cabin we stayed in was fab. Hypomania, Boston, tequila shots anyone? Here's the four of us sitting outside and making faces (what's new?)
At some point in the spring of 1998, Carla PHinisheD grad school.
Karen was pretty psyched about the Strawberry Music Festival, so the sibs all went in summer of 1998. Camping and listening to music in an open glade. Paradise.
We spent Thanksgiving 1998 in Healdsburg. We celebrated my birthday the next day.
