Laser Science and Optics for the Classroom
Co-sponsored by Lawrence Livermore Lab, SJSU, and the San Jose Tech
Museum
July 27-August 7, 1998 9:00am-4:00pm
location: San Jose State University
-participants receive a kit containing a laser and optical equipment
and will have access to a similar classroom set of materials .
-districts are expected to provide teachers with a stipend
-workshop will be instructed by Dr. Gareth Williams, optics professor at
SJSU and local
teachers will be introduced to and develop classroom activities spanning
the breadth of high school math and science curricula
teachers will recieve support from both LLNL scientists and engineers
and through internet web sites
workshop will include a tour of LLNL
