If you can afford it at all, EVERY student should have a styrofoam ball.
This just doesn't cut it as a demo. Set an unshaded lightbulb in the center
of the room. Gather the students around in a circle and ask them to use
their heads as the earth. You should easily be able to tell if each is in
the proper position to see a full moon, etc. Don't forget to throw in solar
and lunar eclipses, and while they are set up, have them show you what
happens to the earth and moon during a day and a month.
