Fremont High Schoolin Oakland will be needing 5-7 science teachers next
Fall. Fremont is an urban high school in East Oakland with a tradition of
struggling for authentic school reform. Five science teachers are leaving to
start the District's first small, autonomous high school.

One of the great plusses of Fremont is that it finally has a strong,
visionary principal, Brian McKibben, who intends to stay and make something
of the school. Mc Kibben will definitely support teachers with new ideas who
want to craft a real science department. This is an opportunity to
participate in the creation of a program from the ground up with a
supportive Administration.
