ZOO SCHOOL 2001
SUMMER CAMP INSTRUCTOR  (5 Positions)
Full-time (4) / Part-time (1), Seasonal.
Responsibilities:
Design and teach two week-long curricula, alternating weeks, for
elementary school aged children under the supervision of the Zoo's Asst.
Education Director.
All classes will combine Zoo walks, arts & crafts projects, games, etc.
relating to wildlife and wild places.  Instructor positions and sessions
available according
to the schedule below.
Dates & Times:
        Grade Level     # Weeks Beginning - Ending      Hours
        1st - 2nd       10 weeks        June 11 - August 17     8:15
a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
        1st - 2nd         6 weeks       June  25 - August 3     8:15
a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
        3rd - 4th       10 weeks        June 11 - August 17     8:15
a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
        5th - 6th         6 weeks       June  25 - August 3     8:15
a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Qualifications:
*       Background in biology, zoology, environmental studies
*       3 or more years of teaching experience, teaching credential a
plus
*       Cheerful and dependable
*       Relates to young children with warmth and enthusiasm
*       Good communication and organization skills
*       Ability to work with and give direction to teens and adult
volunteers
Salary: $14.00 per hour
