Opps, I forgot to mention that the 409, etc., used to clean your VDG should
then be wiped off with a distilled water dampened lint free lab towel.

p.s.: Nicks, dings, scratches, etc., on the collector will also degrade VDG
performance. A mirror shine smooth surface on the collector sphere is a good
thing to do with an industrial buffing wheel. Too bad all the shop programs
are gone from schools.
