Nice try. The main problem facing stained glass window makers would be the
failure of the lead between the pieces and again there is no reason to place
the thick side down. In some cases there may be no "down", such as a rose
window, which could be placed in any postion. Until a window-making manual is
found, we can only speculate about the positioning of glass pieces of varying
thickness in leaded windows.
