Hi,
I am teaching A.P. Physics "C" at a small private high school in S.F. I
usually only have three or four students, so I teach the course in a seminar
format. Each student picks a couple of problems from each chapter (Tipler)
and presents it on the blackboard. I pass out old A.P. test questions and
each student presents one of these on the board at the end of a chapter. I
base my grade on participation and contributions to discussion and problem
solving. My students have all had Honors Physics, so I do not do any formal
experimental lab exercises. We have always had plenty of time to complete the
Mechanics and the E&M parts of Tipler's book for scientists and engineers and
review before the A.P. test.
