Wikipedia has come under fire in the media recently as an information
source because it invites their users to interact by creating and
editing entries. Ms. Ayers is an editor of Wikipedia content and will
speak on the future of Wikipedia including an overview of how content is
created focusing on the role that information professionals can play and
how to get involved. In addition, she will touch on what research is
being done and what things we can tell our patrons about Wikipedia.
5:30p.m. - Social hour - no host bar
6:00p.m. - dinner
7:00p.m. - Speaker Phoebe Ayers
Appetizers included (for all): Antipasto misto; proscuitto; salami, and
assorted meats; grilled eggplant; fresh mozzarella; roasted sweet bell
peppers, cambozola and marinated olives; roasted mushrooms served with
crostini and assorted crackers.
Meal Choices:
Green Salad with Italian vinaigrette is included with each dinner
* Penne Rigate: Italian sausage mushrooms and baby spinach in an
herbed marinara sauce
* Pasta Primavera: tossed with fresh steamed vegetables and a
light parmesan cream sauce
* Chicken Piccata: on a bed of fettuccini with lemon caper sauce
and steamed vegetables
