I swear I sent this announcement to the Bayline but I don't see it in
the January February issue so here goes:
2005 NEIGHBORHOOD DINNER DATES - A NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY
The chapter's neighborhood dinner tradition was born in 1997 and has
been a rousing success ever since. These dinners allow us to network and
chat more easily than is possible at programming dinners. This year,
instead of specifying a set date for this gathering, coordinators got to
pick a day during the week of April 11th. So you get to choose by
neighborhood, by date, or by restaurant!
Just give the coordinator a call or email. And do bring along enough
cash to cover the check and tip, it will ease the payment process for
everyone.
If you would like to organize a dinner in a neighborhood not
represented, please email the name of your restaurant selection
(preferably one with public transportation access and parking) to me and
I will add it to the list and pass it along to the Reflector. Once you
know the number of diners, be sure to make a dinner reservation.
The following folks have volunteered to coordinate dinners:

Actually, Marlene and Jo, I have not gotten a message about neighborhood
dinners at all. I wonder if somehow others didn't get one? That might
explain why you are not getting responses....

Marlene's message reminds me: I've heard zilch from anyone about the
Bernal
dinner (Wednesday, April 13, at that great Nepalese place). Can this
be
true" Ramesh will be sooooooooooooooooo disappointed...
Please let me know, if you've been meaning to: it's a small enough (and
popular enough) place that Just Showing Up to have an extra place set
is a
real inconvenience to the staff. Thanks!
