ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DINNER MEETING
(NON-MEMBERS WELCOME)

THE VALUE OF FLATTENED FLORA

The UC Davis Herbarium (http://herbarium.ucdavis.edu/) is home to a
collection of more than 1/4 million dried and preserved plant samples.
Herbarium director and curator Ellen Dean will give a presentation on what
an herbarium is and how the dead plants it contains are used.

                        5:30 p.m. Social Hour/No-host bar
                        6:15 p.m. Dinner
                        7:15 p.m. Program

Choose from Lasagne Classic (Italian sausage and cheese), Vegetarian Baked
Eggplant Parmesan (breaded eggplant layered with mozzarella and parmesan
cheese) or Baked pasta with Roasted Chicken Breast (chicken slices, pasta
and primavera veggies baked together, topped with cheese). Salad and
coffee or tea are included.

        Directions:

        From Sacramento and points east: Take Interstate 80 west towards
San Francisco. Take the Richards Blvd. exit and merge right at the top of
the off ramp onto Richards Blvd. Within a block turn left into the parking
lot for the University Park Inn and Suites and Caffe Italia.
        If you pass Caffino and Redrum Murder (formerly Murder Burger)
you've gone too far.

        From west of Davis: Take Interstate 80 east towards Sacramento.
Take the Richards Blvd. North exit and turn right onto the overpass over the
freeway. Get in the left lane. Soon after you pass over the freeway turn
left into the parking lot for the University Park Inn and Suites and Caffe
Italia.
        If you pass Caffino and Redrum Murder (formerly Murder Burger)
you've gone too far.
