If you are able to join us for the Fall Career Fair at San Jose State on 
Nov. 22, please be aware that there will also be "mini-tours" of the new 
joint SJSU-SJP Library. See details below:

Career Fair Coordinator
Bridget Kowalczyk, SLIS student and Information Literacy Coordinator in 
Academic Services at the library will take the group on the tour.
12:30 to 12:45 Meet in the lobby of the Special Collections area on 5th 
floor
(Look for the golden carburetors around the door!!)
Tour of the Special Collections area provided by Bob Johnson (1974) 
which will include access to areas normally not open to the public such 
as the SJSU Special Collections Reception Room, the climate controlled 
storage rooms and vaults, and the Special Collections Program Room.
12:50-1:15 Meet on the 3rd floor with Rita Torres(1976) .
The General Collections floor is 2 floors of the public library in one.
Hear about the development of the Teen Center. Short tour of the public 
library circulating collection including all materials in many 
international languages. Then you will go down to 1st to see the 
Browsing Collection with an explanation of the development of this 
collection and the marketing concepts it exhibits.
1:15-1:30 Return to the 2nd floor Reference Department and Vandy Ham 
(2001) who will show you the telephone center, called The Reference 
Connection and explain the events and process for merging the two 
reference collections and service.
1:30-1:45 Bridget Kowalczyk, as the Information Literacy Coordinator 
will demonstrate the computer labs. Also shown will be the online 
tutorial program and a brief explanation of its development and future 
plans.

12:30-2:00 the Craft program in the Childrens Exploration Room on the 
Mezzanine.
