Subject: REFQ: finding an old ticker symbol Message-ID: <OF5FFE20B1.8180684F-ON88256DAC.005EB18A@bayer.com> From: Margaret May <margaret.may.b@bayer.com> Date: Thu, 25 Sep 2003 10:27:11 -0700
Hello,
If any of the business or financial services librarians on this list could do me
a favor, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am trying to find the old ticker symbol for Cutter Labs (Berkeley). (Cutter
Labs was bought by Bayer in mid-1970's.)
Time-frame would be 1951-1974. Sorry, I don't which exchange it was traded on.
I don't have access to any of the print sources, which might be useful: Ticker
Symbol Book, Warfield ‘s Investor's guide to stock quotations and other
financial listings, Directory of Corporate Affiliations, America's Corporate
Families, old newspapers. We don't have LEXIS here either, but I did look on
the web. None of the historical quotes pages could help, because one has to
start with the ticker symbol.
Any other sugggestions would be most welcome, as well !
Please respond to me off-list.
TIA,
Margaret May
