DINNER MEETING
Thursday September 25, 2003

History and Stewardship of the California State Parks Museum Collection

John Mello, Museum Curator at the State Museum Resource Center, will speak
on the history, creation, and stewardship of the California State Parks
museum collection. After dinner we will have the opportunity to tour the
50,000 square foot central collections facility for all of California's
state parks. The facility houses a preeminent collection of Native American
Indian basketry as well as Southwestern pottery, furniture from the 18th and
19th centuries, and an assortment of art and other objects. To learn more
