Nose Cone
To Do and Notice
Take a cone shaped party hat with an elastic band.
Cut the point off to make a 2 cm diameter hole.
Wear the hat over your face.
Play catch using a soft ball.
Notice that the cone face person looks weird and has a hard time catching the ball.
What's Going On?
Looking out of the cone you can only see the ball with one eye at a time. This removes your binocular vision and prevents you from judging the distance to the ball accurately. This makes it difficult to catch the ball.
